That Spruce is a newly planted Montgomery Spruce. It grows to about 15 to 20". A similar but smaller tree is a Sester's Dwarf Spruce - grows to about 8'. We've only recently started planting them so haven't seen a full grown one yet. Both are hardy trees for here in Alberta, Canada.

lok up Sesters dwarf spruce......but couldn't determine how well it would do in Zone 6, Southern Indiana. Would like to incorporate 1-2 in our front foundation plantings - sunny location. THank you.

I believe they are OK in zones 2 to 8. They like full sun and not too much moisture. I would think they'd be fine and would encourage you to give them a try!
