Carolyn hit it on the head the first thing I noticed is the color is a little to bold to be boxed in with the columns. Also pull your furniture out pic the best focal point in your room and arrange your furniture to the focal point. I think a beautiful gray is timeless & classy. You can bring in any accent colors with the grey. Make sure you move your furniture away from blocking your window/sliders. Play with the furniture sometimes sectionals broken up look great. I would change the art as well get a great picture for the middle and accent maybe something like a wire art in the smaller boxes. Bigger rug and don't be afraid to add accent pieces. I always pic my art work first and take the colors from the pic and add from there. A great blanket throw on your sofa to warm up the black, get some great pillows..I always tell clients add candles..in threes all different heights they are timeless and look fabulous.
