If it is one of your posts you can edit it, but you're the only one. You can't edit other peoples posts. After you posted there should be a pencil icon in the upper right portion of your post. Click on that and it opens the edit box.

Carolina, you can just add a comment and use the attach photo option to add a new photo.

I also can't find an edit or delete option :o( - Any suggestions?

On a computer, if you click on your post, you will see an "edit" option (also a delete option, I think). On my iphone, I don't get these options. So it probably depends what app you are using.

You also only have a short period of time where that option is available to you.

What if I can't find the pencil icon?

If you are using the app, you cannot edit your posts. If you get notified of changes, you can choose to view them in the web instead of app and then you'll see the edit pencil icon.

Personally, I think Houzz is best on the computer and on their web site. You can see immediately who's using the phone and an app. Even the pros comments contain horrendous!!! lapses in grammar , spelling, and punctuation. I grind my teeth to a pulp in front of the Mac when I read them, These, probably a result of an errant finger tap and WHOOSH there it went and there it is? We will be grunting at one another very, very soon, and the grunts will be the grunt version of "remember when we TALKED on the phone?" Grunt, grunt= hahhahaha...........

I made a post 12 hours ago - and can't edit it. What a shame Houzz. You force people to re-post a whole new post. Silliness.

You can edit within 24 hrs on the main site, but not on the App.

That is untrue. I made a post 12 hours ago and am unable to edit. And I am on my computer.

Just add what you want to say in a comment to your original post. Easier than starting over

sometimes you do not want to place it in the comments as it makes more sense to edit the original. it turns out houzz gives us 59 minutes to edit a post. that just isn't right.

why does Houzz restrict editing posts? looks like I can only edit at first 59-minutes, after that the post is locked! doesn't make sense! I want to be able to make corrections on the original post. is there a solution to this? Houzz not very user friendly :-(

I agree, it makes no sense! I haven't timed it personally, but the edit option does go away pretty quickly, certainly within a day.

Sometimes editing the main post (rather than adding to the comments) is needed in order to clarify or otherwise improve on something, so we can get the best help for our needs.
