Forgot to add the windows are all vinyl. So as far as I know the trim is unpaintable?

Looks good so far! Please post a photo that shows whole front of house. Didn't know there were black gutters. Will be interested in seeing them in place. Did you previously post this house in an earlier stage?

Here is some inspiration for colors. It has the stained cedar, white, black. They added gray to these colors on the house.

More. On this home they added the color blue.

I must say, I'm not so sure you need to add shutters with this design.

HI -- Nicely done so far . try "Ranchwood " by Benjamin Moore and then a charcoal /black for the entrance . Or if you like a blue - look at "Amsterdam" And also -- no shutters .

I'd suggest a blue/gray - including the gutters. For the front door, I'd do a cedar door to complement , but if you just want to paint, a reddish/orange door would pop. Notice in these photos the trim is the same color as the stucco. But,, the window trim remains white.

I'd suggest a grey tone for the stucco you could do light grey or grey with a greenish hue [Personally, I'm not a fan of green]. I would paint the door black and do a high gloss. You could even put a few clear coats over the door do really make it shine. This will help tie in the color of your gutters. This color palette will look great and make the white trim around your windows pop. I've attached an image for inspiration. Hope this helps!

Your house is so cute and the cedar is gorgeous. I would contrast the house color. You could definitely get away with that as it is a one-level bungalow size home. I'd look at different types of grays, which would make the white vinyl around the windows pop. Don't be afraid to go darker or industrial gray - almost concrete looking. Definitely a shiny black door.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions. I've never posted before, but I'm really stuck on colour selection. Unfortunately I can't get a wider shot because of the huge wrap around hedge ( can't get back far enough). Also totally would never do shutters, think you misread gutters? Like the idea of the orange door, I never thought of that. of course a new wood door would be nice but I've gotta cut expenses somewhere. I have been feeling that black is a bit harsh but I think gutters come in white, black and brown. Thanks everybody.

Is the cedar to be left natural? I don't like the darker gray examples provided. The house doesn't have the height between cedar and roof to carry a dark color. If you go with gray, it should be mid to lighter gray. I don't like the blue-grays. On your style house, they would look too much like the over-used1980 Country blue. I like BJ Ranchwood for that space very much. Love the idea of a shiny black door. All IMHO, really! 8>)

Thedarlingsbecca yes I like what you have to say. Now I've been thinking about a forest green. I don't know if it will look to crazy/vibrant. Since I live in the pacific north west our forests are always green and we have lots of orangeish cedar.

I'm now leaning towards a light moss colour. Thanks for the tip off about a darker colour not working in the small space.
