I'd like to see the art over the sofa be a bit wider. Maybe a complementary framed print, portrait format, same height as the one already there, hung to one side or the other.

Now I will look for your rug.

I will have to put everything away to put the flooring in so i don't want the shades to get dirty. Here is the picture

How about something like this from Home Decorators..it is inexpensive and is an indoor/outdoor rug. I like to sometimes use these for their durability. Also I agree with groveraxle.. definitely need more in the space above sofa..the current pic is too wimpy...find something larger or use what you have as part of a grouping.

I take it back on the art. It could be a hair wider, but it's not small enough to pair it with anything else.

Perhaps you'd like to consider letting your floors go naked? They're going to be gorgeous.

If you're going with a light rug think about replacing the heavy dark coffee table with a glass top table. It'll lighten your whole room and modernize it too.

I like the rug with the printed design...and think it will look great with the hardwood floors
