Finding contract templates for pros

My understanding is it's always best to have contractors fill out a credit application before you start working with them. There have been nightmare stories about firms not being on good financial ground and walking away from incomplete jobs. Does anyone know if Houzz or another site have resources for contracts?

There are various contracts that can be found on the American Institute of Architects site - here - http://www.aia.org/contractdocs/index.htm

However, depending on the nature of the project, if its large enough, I would certainly consult an attorney to get a specific contract produced.
