Whew, it's like walking into a hotel room on Miami Vice (TV show, not the movie!). Floating window bench is a great idea, that will camouflage those pesky baseboard heaters. Tailored roman shades for your windows, that will help breaking up that expanse with your widow bench, suggest comfy cushions and pillows! You could do a massive headboard behind your bed, or a large piece of artwork. Two night tables, or built in night tables attached to headboard. Wall sconces might be nice, instead of cluttering up night tables. Definitely replace that track lighting for something less obnoxious. Go light flooring, neutral paint, add colour through accessories, bedding, textiles and artwork. Replace sad desk and filing cabinet with a large mirror, comfy chair or lounge, little table. Ground that area with an area rug.
Paint out your cabinets, say no to mirrors so close to your bed...it's bad feng shui! Get some real plants, sometimes they're the best accessory in a room! Maybe put them in front of the glass blocks on a light scale console table. Good luck!

I'd be more concerned of selecting a warm grey. Grey should tie into any of the colours you mentioned. Just be sure to select some light textiles for your space (blinds, bedding, rugs and accessories). I recently worked with "Silver Fox" by Benjamin Moore and it's a lovely warm grey. Might suggest you do a lighter colour on your ceiling, a cream or off white...A lot depends on what colour of floor your going but I'm sure that there's a grey out there for you!...Hope that's some food for thought.
