Well, I suppose I am the maker of the shower. It is a recessed pan, floated with a linear drain. I recessed the shower glass track, burying it partly in the tile, in an effort to create seamless space.. The tile is the Terrazzo line from Dal Tile. There isn't much to it really. It is the design that makes it open. By installing the panel mirror to the left of the tub, we extended the courtyard light further across the space. The rain screen ceiling also connects the spaces.

It's gorgeous. I hope our new bathroom, which opens to a courtyard, turns out as nice.

Great materials! Is the shower pan custom? What is the shower pan made out of? Was the floor poured to the pan?

The pan was prepared using a 5" dap out when we poured the floor. The pan was then floated with hard pack in preparation for the tile. Much care was taken to locate the pan dap properly and make sure the edges stayed solid during construction.
