Great thought. What would paint the trims...white, cream or a different shade of sage?

I went through a fair number of Mediterranean exterior photos on this site and noticed that many homes with clay colored tiles have either a warm yellow, tan or an off white creamy base. The shutters are ofter a sage green, but also blues or brown. Window sashes (with or without shutters) are also painted these colors.

I think once you change the base color of stark white to a warm tone the house will look even better.

The mediterranean homes are all beautiful, but they almost always have a stucco or other earthen facade (and are most often found in southern climates and are without shutters). If I could reface my home I probably would, but the clapboards and the new england setting suggest more stone type colors I think. Thanks for your comments and photo links.
