Hey all - so I live in a 1923 Bungalow. I'm trying to design it in a Mission/Craftsman style with a mix of old and new. I need help deciding on what kind of dining room table I should get. I really like the Stickley style. My dining room is small, and I plan on putting the table parallel to the antique buffet. Since I'm doing this, whatever option I choose, I'd like to have a bench on the side of the table closest to the buffet so people can get in/out easily. However - do I get the mass produced mission table set with the bench on one side and mission like chairs (which may look like I'm trying to match the buffet but an obvious mismatch with the buffet) or the table set with two benches and two red vinyl parson chairs (which would match other red elements in my house) at the ends for a bit of contrast?
I've attached 2 pics of my dining room from two different angles plus the table I'm considering....
Also worth noting is that the set with the mission is about $150 less than the set with 2 benches and the two red parson chairs....
