There are a lot of things I love about the room below, including the green touches and the use of white and silver, but most strikingly the choice of wood colour. The walls are BM Storm. So I think with sidetables to bring that warmth of colour in, silver lamps with white shades, plus the darker (I presume) grey of your seating and turquoise pillows -- it really works. Of course your floor colour will be significant -- it could be light or dark, but I'd suggest you keep it neutral.
