It all depends - this is a very durable wood in the first place, and additionally we used a marine-grade varnish which is essentially the kind used on boats, so it does not easily scratch, dent, or wear.

in regards to the counter top which I truely love.. How does it wear? Does it chip easy or stain quickly if something spills on it. I cook a lot and need something that is durable. Thank you
