That would be a very bright Kitchen...and that's ok. I preferred some relief from the white, which is why i chose a different color for the backsplash and a darker flooring to 'ground' the space.

Below is an example of an all white kitchen (pitsou.com), which looks great. However, they also chose a light charcoal colour for their flooring

What if just the backsplash is glossy grey but not the floor.

I have a u shaped kitchen with upper cabinets and refrigerator on one wall and this wall has a 20 inch backsplash. The other short wall has a cooktop and oven under the cooktop with no upper cabinets and then a long island connected to the cooktop island and then drops down to a table for sitting.
I was thinking of making the table dark brown . Or maybe the table can be glossy grey.
One more question on the kitchen the glossy white panel you installed for the side of the counter what size ikea panel did you use???
Also what kind of toekick did you use in the house for baseboard. Is it Fryreglet

I think all white with a gray backsplash would look sharp! Dark brown table would also look good for the table - similar color range i assume as the ceiling treatment over the island in the LG House.

The side panel of the kitchen island is 30", which is a panel size that is available from IKEA

I forgot to answer your last question. The baseboard is not a Fryreglet. I used a shadow bead to end the drywall approx. 2" above the finish floor. The same flooring material (as a baseboard) was then applied to the 2" reveal below the drywall. I'll post some more information on this tomorrow...
