You mean the board with all the little holes?

Maybe fill the holes with a dark grey grout?

If white or black would go with your decor, there are PVC pegboard panels that could be used. I use them for a hobby application in a wet location. They are wetproof and sturdy. Run a search for "pvc pegboard" "plastic pegboard" or "poly pegboard" for sources. Doing this, I just discovered somebody also sells a clear frosted plastic one, too.

Thanks so much both of you. I also bought contact paper adhesive to put halfway up the board. I'll check the pegboard types you mentioned.
