Let me start answering your question by stating: this homeowner thoroughly enjoys to entertain. In addition to the (3) sinks, there are (2) single ovens, a steam oven, a built-in coffee maker, microwave, stand-alone refrigerator, stand-alone freezer, cooktop, warming drawer and (2) dishwashers. The island itself can seat (9) people.

The perimeter sink on the left is a large single bowl sink for cleaning / prepping larger items, such as turkeys & large pans. The perimeter sink on the right is a 1-3/4 bowl sink with a drain board. (1 sink is 17" wide the other is 13" wide). Again for cleaning / prepping smaller items. Perhaps used more on a daily basis. Both sinks have a dishwasher located right next to them. The island sink is much smaller "double" bowl. This sink would be used for prepping vegetables, etc.

Thank you for this amazing kitchen design. I appreciate the above explanation, but no need for me, as I had come up with the exact plan for my new custom home in Texas. My husband and I cook together, and the back wall with 2 sinks,and the centered stove is the answer to our current and frequent collisions. We will have 2 FP tall drawer dishwashers on each side of one sink (the one closest to the DR. The other sink will be for the stove action, big pasta pots, and prep, closest to the frig. Our third sink will be in the Bistro, a back kitchen area containing the coffee bar, snack area, wet bar, dish storage and a dry food pantry and wine storage. I think it will work.
