Hi. Thanks for your question! I believe it is a catalyzed lacquer based paint. They are not glazed, but two different colors. I remember the cabinet maker going through quite a process to come up with just the right shade of yellow to please the client, so as the result it is not a color that you can simply pluck off a chart. I know light, space and existing colors will totally change how a hue reads, so I'm trying to figure out the best process for doing my cabinets... Lacquer seems to be the winner with the pros.

It absolutely will be the finish that gives you the most longevity. A well finished cabinet should not need to be re-finished. The finish should last for the life of the cabinet,
