Geoff, any pros and cons? Are you happy with them? Why did you choose to use them as opposed to other swithchplates and outlets? Any details would be appreciated

Geoff, I've replaced my 2 prong outlets with legrand adorne outlets with grounding wire. Do I now have a grounded outlet, for building code purposed?

Unless the "grounding wire" is connected to another grounding wire or electrically continuous conduit that goes all the way back to the electrical panel, it will not meet codes. The exception would be if that receptacle was a GFCI receptacle. There are a few other methods allowed, but they are fairly technical, and most likely do not apply, given your question.

Thank you, Fred, I was hoping for a green light. I see that isn't possible if the old receptacles only have 2 wires.
