Details please. And how does this compare with hardy plank, board and batten siding.

    This picture is actually Hardie lap siding and Hardie shingle siding above the bellyband. T1-11 siding is the product that we removed and it is vertical plywood siding that has vertical grooves. Hardie board n batten siding is a fiber cement product instead of wood where the board goes on and the trim goes on over the top. I've added a photo below that shows an unpainted hardie board n batten wall. It is pictured on the second story of the home.
