need layout help for 7' wide x 9' long master bath

Any advice would be appreciated . The room is standard 80s ranch rectangle. The problem area is a 3' x 7' space that previously had a sunken tub with steps down and a bench like area above. It sucked and was dangerous. So to give u an idea: Current layout has toilet to the left of door, 72" vanity opposite the toilet, and on the 7' wall to the right of the entrance door is a 3' x 7' long sunken tub/shower. We want to keep the same footprint. The dilemma is that there is a 36" long window on the vanity wall at the end of the sunken tub/shower space! This corner can't be used because of this window. So...(a) close the window up so we can use the space? What do I do with this 3' x 7x space??? I don't need a 7 foot long shower. Should I get a big ass tub and use it as a shower too? Do I go total wet room to open up the space? Thanks for any advice.
