What is the better wine cooler - Sub Zero or U-line?

I'm debating between purchasing a Sub Zero or U-Line wine cooler. Sub Zero is $1000 more. Is is truly a superior product?

Hey nschutt, how do you like the U-line so far? I'm thinking of putting one in a theater room. It it quiet?

I, too, would like to know. We're about to do a full remodel of our kitchen and want to put an undercounter wine cooler in but haven't decided on the right one yet.

I've done a ton of research on wine fridges, and yes, the Sub-Zero has the strongest product. However, the price point is a bit tough to swallow... I believe the 'next in line' would be Marvel or Perlick.

Update. We went with U-Line.

I had a U-line that went out about 5 years after we bought the house that had it. I've had a Sub-Zero 424 undercounter for 15 years and it's still going strong. We bought it right when it was first introduced.

The U-line is very quiet.

U line is quiet, but ours iced over and leaked very early on. It finally died after 15 years. Bought a Kitchenaid undercounter fridge ($1.5k), but want to return it because of the noise!
