I suggest wood dining chairs to match the decor. Not too tall

The width of the chairs will be important so that they slide between the extended base comfortably..also the height of the arms so they will slide under table easily...with these measurements in mind choose your chairs for comfort if u have leisurely meals or easy mobility if you use the table for many activities...

A bench on one side may work since it can be completely tucked away when not in use..wooden Asian feel chairs with soft cushions would lend the implied zen feel of the table

What colour are the walls?

The table is a more modern one and I think the chairs need to be more modern too! However; I am thinking of parsons chairs with upholstery and espresso color legs. Then, a center piece for the table....a little lighter on the paint not so bold.
