Do you think this could work as a combined living dining room solution?

I'm thinking of converting my informal dining adjacent to kitchen to be a bigger area for kitchen with island...
do you think this is a good idea to do for a combined living/dining space?
Such an interesting design!

I am a little confused but is this an image of the space? Living dining combos are great-I do it all the time mainly because when people are entertaining/cooking the hosts can still interact with co.

It photographs well, but I am not a fan of the big bench or couch for dining table seating. And I think the end chairs are lovely, but these particular ones look heavy to pull up to the table.

I love love love this dining room. My husband and I are coming very close to the decor. We are using my great grandmother's table and rush chairs that we painted a raspberry truffle. The missing pieces are the end chairs; please share any information that you have about the chairs.
