Does this mirror work?

Our powder room is finally complete! Yay! Only issue is, now that the mirror is up, I'm worried that it clashes with the wallpaper. Is there too much going on? thanks

I think it looks amazing! Very "powerful" and daring! Absolutely awesome!

Well, I'll put in my two cents worth. I think there is too much going on. The sink below has simple modern lines and is much smaller. I think the mirror overwhelms the sink below it and competes with the wallpaper. I'd go with a smaller mirror with simpler lines.

Maybe place a tall orchid or something like that on the side of the sink/mirror.

Sorry to rain on your parade. I think a silver mirror or an all glass mirror would look better.

Love it! - the powder room is the one place where you can be totally BOLD! Don't replace it with something BORING and plain

    FABULOUS! Don't change a thing!

It looks great. It is perfectly balanced with the heavy countertop. The sink is not the focal point of this area. A plain mirror would totally be washed out and take away the great impact you have created.

If when you look into the mirror and the person looking back at you looks like you . . . the mirror works.

Thank you to everyone for the reassurance and comments! I struggled b/c we have 10 ft ceilings so I needed to fill the space without making the vanity too high. So the "big" mirror kind of centers everything in the middle of the wall from the bottom of the counter to the top of the mirror.

I LOVE it!! I say it's a keeper. However, I was in Anthropologie the other day and they had a gorgeous mirror hanging on the wall. I thought it was just display and not for sale but just found it on their website. When I saw your bathroom the thought of that mirror came to mind.

Now looking at your bathroom again, I like the one you have better. It really looks great. Do you mind me asking where it's from?

This mirror has some soft curves and sharp angles that seem to tie the wallpaper and the counter together. It looks like a perfect combination and size for this room.

I love it and I happen to like the juxtaposition with the soft modern sink.

Kim Anne - I bought the mirror from Pier 1. It was on clearance about 2 weeks ago. I don't see it on their website anymore, but they have a catalog in the store. Maybe they can find one locally.

I agree with the majority. You did a fabulous job of pulling it all together. The mirror is the focal point. I would like to see the vanity in better light. I think that is what makes the sink look out of scale to some Houzzers, because we can't see the heavy wood of the vanity.

It looks great. It has a very good curve and the brown color of it matches perfectly with the wallpaper. Loved it a lot.

I tried to take a pic with the lights off. I still can't get the ceiling in bc I'm backed up to the opposite wall, but hopefully a better view.

Ok, changing my opinion here - have to say in the context of the higher ceilings, which didn't see in first pic, that i DO like this mirror and don't think that it's overwhelming for the space. And of course, as annemarsh noted above, what matters is whether or not you like it. Enjoy!

You nailed it! Great choice. Not too busy at all--really works well with the wallpaper. A plain rectangular mirror would just be boring.
