We use douglas fir we salvage from homes built mostly before 1930, this wood is much different than most of whats sold today. It's old growth wood from what was once amazing coastal forests that extended from central california all the way up the coast. mostly tight grained/vertical grain material which is super hard and very durable. The tops are 1 1/2" thick or 1 3/4" thick, you can choose... the one featured here is 1 1/2" thick.

We've sold 1000's of tables made from this wood over our last 24 years and I bet most will last 100's of years.

I would say the color is dead on but we can send a sample to you when you place order or it's $25.00 for a sample , refunded with you order.

We use 1/4" x 2" cold rolled solid flat bar metal and finished in a rustic brown/flat lacquer but you do have color options on the metal and wood.

The base has metal tabs that have holes so we can attach the top with #10 screws. Also the base is usually made 28" to 30" smaller than the circumference of the top so these tables a super stable.

What options do you have for the metal base? Interested in 54" top 1 3/4 thickness with burnt bronze base. Also, would the base scratch floors? This is for a small dining area and we need it shipped to 10583.
