Hi nancyi115, I think just brightening up all the black trims and shutters would make quite a difference to start since your house looks very solid and the landscaping is well manicured.

Yes, I agree with Dytecture - you have a very nice looking house. You might think about a different color for siding. Grey with charcoal grey shutters, perhaps with an olive green door would give it a mod look.

Another color combo I can see is painting the siding a color to match the brick and use charcoal for shutters and trim - then a bright door such as teal or aqua.
