Great spaces - office and bedroom! I'll leave the wall paint color and window treatment to a more qualified expert on Houzz....

However, on transitioning the mood and colors of the spaces between the two rooms...
Here's a suggestion - consider adding an artwork that would bring the red color of the bedroom into the office.

I would consider painting the walls in something in the gray/taupe range and bringing in the same red color as the adjoining bedroom for roman shades or a rug to tie the rooms together.

Love the purple rug! I think karielen has a good suggestion of a neutral color for the walls, and adding hints of the red as accents pieces. I think you can balance both colors in the room with a grey-neutral wall paint.

I like your colorful art, rug, and blankets! I agree that neutral walls with colorful objects is the way to go; you need to be inspired at work, but also to concentrate. Red shades sound good, but maybe in a similar tone to the rug? Just wanted to say I like your rooms, and good luck!
