Most Likely Crepe Myrtle. Be careful of these though around a pool....while beautiful, the flowers/beries drop constantly all summer into the water and eventually in the skimmer.

Crepe myrtle- they can be pruned took like that... There's all different color flowers to choose from and they loose their leaves so only stay pretty in spring and summer. They can get a lot bigger than that one.

Correct! Crepe myrtles are some of the most under appreciated trees in our area of the country. They're beautiful and provide wonderful shade in the summer.
