I would keep the chandlier 25 to 28 inches in width. The rule of thumb for base of fixture to table is 28 inches . Hope this helps. good luck!

The style of the fixture could enter in to the equation but I think 30 inches in height would be an average. Design is tricky because it is very visual and not mathematical. We can only give guidelines because every situation can break the rules and still be perfect.
