Hi Houzz folks
We are building, kitchen layout is an L-shaped perimeter with an island in an open concept kitchen/dining/LR. The island is one surface, with nothing on it. Kitchen cabinets will be natural cherry, shaker style. My dilemma: I'm considering perhaps quartz with some color/movement in it for the island, and a different counter top, (solid surface?) something a bit calmer, for the L-shaped perimeter. I'm interested in hearing from folks who may have done this, and how they like their decision. I'm also interested in hearing from anyone else who might have suggestions for products/combinations. I'm attracted to sage greens, natural earth tones without getting too browny or beigy. Thanks much!
