I like #2 the best. the scrolls seem to pick up the carpet scrolls.
I would take one of the lamps down from the fireplace and put something else up.

The first one is more transitional, I see the other two as a bit dated.

I like #2 in your room. They are all nice though. By the way, I love that rug. Good luck! :)

# 2 for me it pick s up the scrolls from the rug . Its a beautiful rug that screams for blue chairs

Yes, I also like this one. Little less whimsy and a little more sophistication. Just for the record I like swirls. :) I would do this or the #2. I can't keep looking because I like them all. lol I keep scrolling back and forth. :)

I love the way you mixed the colors in HPHE room and found the perfect rug. I would move the rug left to center it though and still leave the chairs where they are. ( even if it is a little in front of the doorway) the big pattern seems to call for being centered with the fireplace.
I like the two flat top screens, but in my own house I wanted a simple look and went with a simple black built in mesh that you sometimes see behind a glass door.

2 and 4 are both beautiful. I think 4 might be a little bit more updated imo. Your living room reminds me of mine - 1920's colonial. I always feel like I am trying to balance updating things and keeping the original charm. You have a very welcoming space.

Arabesque is #4, I would use this one with a Moroccan decor

@msubreeze thanks so much for your input, much appreciated. I've been living under a rock and new to houzz...lol what does HPHE mean? We did have the rug centered, but that is a very active doorway, so I'd rather sacrifice symmetry than having a dirty rug for now :)

I ended up with #4 it came today. The scroll one was for decorative use only, so wouldn't work with our WB fireplace. Do you think this one works?

I also need some input on a side/end table for the space. I've also included pics of what I already have. One flanking the club chair is the martini table from restoration hardware. I'm waiting on another one for the accent chair. Against the wall is a console table which is staying, I was thinking of a dark finish, not really into glass top, but I will consider if it's right. My thoughts ran to the RH tables in the pics but I'm undecided as to whether or not it's the best look for the space. The table is going next to the floor lamp.

Okay, now that I see the pictures farther back...... its a keeper, it looks great. Oh no don't cover my rug.... just kidding. ;) I like the table on the lower left, well both are nice, but I like the finish on it??? Something about it I like. :) I'm not helping, huh? :) I'm trying. :)

You sound just like me! Ugh so hard...ordinarily I would buy both and see how each would work, but the shipping cost and having to return one is not looking attractive..lol. Ok so the sticking with dark is fine then. Thanks for your input! ;)

Hey, really I think you've done well on your own and my input is just an opinion. But what I see is a room that I would enjoy to sit in on a cold night with a throw, cup of coffee, and nice conversation..... and the fire, can't forget that. LOL :) Oh and I totally understand about shipping $$$ :)
