I say a big YES to your choice. Just the right touch of contrasting color that is needed.

I'd suggest holding up the white glass subway tile against your countertops to see how they interact. I'd avoid a bright white, but would lean more toward one of the light to medium shades in your counter. Can you take the existing short granite backsplash off so the subway tile is the only material on the vertical surface? That would give it a neater look.

Tile is a pale green, not white and we are not removing the granite backsplash.

It looks like you have my granite - Mesquite? I was thinking of subway tile but not in glass.

I love your countertops. Very nice with your cabinets. :) I like the choice of backsplash, but am afraid to give an opinion of them together without seeing them together. Is there any way you can bring a sample home? Good luck! :)

The granite is White Spring, I will bring home a few samples of tile for the backsplash. We had some prior to the granite going in but have changed our mind after seeing it all in. Too busy somImam looking for a single color.

The fact that it appears white on my computer screen is exactly why color advice works best with a sample in the room. Photographs and computers alter color, making it hard to get a reliable impression.

This color tile in glass feels too contemporary for your kitchen. If you like a light green I would consider a handmade looking subway tile.

Or if you have your heart set on glass try something a little bit more sage-olive-grey tone green (acknowledging that it depends on how it looks in person). You could also consider using larger format tiles like a 4 x 8 or 6 x 12.
