Love the custom counter with the ikea vanity!! Love it all

I love that counter, how did you make the adaptation to the cabinet? . I have purchased them and wanted to do my own counter but I though it was just not possible because of the ikea drawers.
Could you post a picture of the inside? What a Fabulous and sharp idea!!1 Love it! Thank you very much..

I don't have an image I'm afraid. We had a millworker custom work the drawer. Worked very well.

He had to cut the drawer body to make it operational. It lost some of its functionality of course but it still worked. He managed to maintain the stiffness too. Wish I could remember exactly how. The cheaper option, albeit not as functional, is to make the upper drawer non-functional.

I see... That was my fear but to me its worth it, I have been thinking of ways to make it work, perhaps raising the stone with lamination will make it height enough to maintain the full function of the drawer...just an idea I wanted to share :) My other project is to add in the center of the two vanities a make up sitting area... I have to customize the cabinet drawer, make it a 8" height instead of the 11 1/2 " .thank you
