Need help finding another purpose for my headboard!

I built this headboard after seeing the professional photo and I love it!!! However, it's for a queen mattress and I'll be moving in with my boyfriend soon who has a Cal King. I'd like to do something else with the headboard..... Maybe a bench to go at the end of the bed?? Help me out? Thanks!

It could become a tufted ottoman on short wood legs or wheels or maybe a bench. Having built such an impressive piece, you probably know more about the mechanics of repurposing upholstered furniture than most of us.

It's beautiful and you certainly have talent! If you found a wooden bench with drawers it could be a foyer bench, or as a kitchen nook dining bench. Love the 2 oil paintings too:)

My first thought was a dinette bench as mentioned above. If you have room in your entry, maybe converting it in to an entryway bench.. would be a beautiful statement piece.

If you are keeping the color scheme, you could take it apart and add width, such as columns wrapped in a patterned print or something of the sort.

make it the back of a bench for a dining seat or attach it to the wall in a DR and build bench under it.

If you have an empty wall big enough the central part of it could become a great feature to guest memos or other fun accessories..possibly i would frame it with a vintage gold frame...good luck!

I'd convince your BF to ditch the massive bed. What's the point in such a big bed? Think about the extra space you'll have in your room. And a queen is just right for two.

I agree with Sally Wyatt. Unless your BF is a really large man the queen should be fine. The new bed will cause you to lose the side tables as well as that wonderful headboard.
