My cabinets will be a glazed white dove should I do that? Benjamin more has three colors mushroom that very from cream to greenish... Suggestions?

I love the the color palette and that mirror really is perfect.

I agree with susagmt, do something darker, richer to embrace the stone. I think white dove, which is what all my walls are painted in, is way too light and would be too much of a contrast. Love the idea of a reclaimed beam!

You could paint the mantle one of medium to dark colours in the brick, which will make it blend in more. I see there is some biegey gray in the brick. Maybe grey wash the mantle for a bit more of a rustic look. Kind of like the frame of the mirror you have over the mantle. It will update it, and it goes well with sage.

H to the e to the double hockey stick no. Get rid of the mantel though. That color does not go.

That's good as what it is but I prefer darker color. Like dark brown. In contrast with stone and maybe the walls.

I would go with a darker color for more contrast.

Love the idea of a rustic timber and soft color brick.

Don't paint the mantle until your bookshelves are in and the color is on the walls. While my first inclination is a more rustic color (mushroom was a great suggestion) and not an ornate mantle, you may be going for a richer, classical look. If the bookshelves are built in and trim work aligns with the mantle it will have to tie together. Be certain of dove white.... Decorators love it, but it's got a grey tint. If you're looking for stark white against the sage test it first. I was talked into dove white for my own living room (which is also green). I re painted all the white myself to bright white ! However you may find a warmer color to accent sage that's not white at all. You can also back paint the book shelves another color to give them depth vs all white. Good luck post after pictures!

This is my vision....The mantel painted a light creamy gray...would be stunning. The color on the wall would not be as pretty if you painted it anywhere near white. The gray would really kick it up and look beautiful with your other colors.

I think white may be to stark against your brick. A cream with a chocolate glaze would possibly work. Another option is to stain it an expresso . That would be my choice , I think it would make it stand out from all your trim as a focal point. This tone could be picked up in wood furnishings. I agree that if you do everything else first you could reevaluate and the answer may be more clear. It all sounds beautiful though and I love the brick and the mantel design.

I would definitely do something to the mantle. Or remove it. Maybe this helps you to visualize, made the walls white since you're doing whit built-ins. But wait with your decision until the built-ins are in place.
