Need help with improving my house's exterior

Hi! We are trying to figure out a front door color and also thinking of removing the shutter on the windows (not usable, and also a bit too skinny for the actual window). Any suggestions on colors to paint the front door? Also would you keep or remove the shutters??

I agree with removing shutters. I think a black or dk blue door. This is BM Marine Blue.

Absolutely yes get rid of the shudders, and i'm inclined to agree with Christi for the black, but even if thats not your cuppa white trimmings are second on "to go" list i feel so you could also pick out a grey from the brick for that, pref the darkest.
    + Marlene's door choice.

The front door is in good shape, but would you consider changing the sidelights? The pattern in the glass appears to be quite busy next to the brick.

I also agree with removing Shutter its didn't look good. I think colors using to decorate bricks and stones need to change , you may use something in dark like chocolate. Also there is requirement of greenery it will be look good if you add it also.

Consider a larger project to give your entry more presence, once the shutters are removed.

Agree with decoenthusiaste that a portico and bay windows would add lift to the entry!

I like the shutters. I agree with the color black. But if you do then you would probably need to do the upstairs windows as well. So, considering that, it might be easier to just take the shutters off. I know you didn't ask, but some blooming flower planters, also black would be pretty in front of the windows, I would add some plantings around the grasses as well. They look kind of lonely all by themselves. I also would put some plantings around the trees.

Here is the house I bought (and it didn't look like this when I got it unfortunately) but the styles are very close. I have since painted the doors black and although I took the shutters off, I'm putting them back on and they are painted black as well. I love it! Adding some plants will help as well.. and maybe window boxes as well. The brick on my house is painted ...

I think a dark grey on the door, get rid of the shutters & do the window trim the same color as the door.

Thank you! Our front lawn was made very draught friendly...pros and cons to it! Agree, thought black could look good! But we are potentially thinking all black interior doors, so wanted to possibly mix it up outside.
