What do you think of my color selection? I feel as if something is missing... Maybe a nice area rug?!

Agree, the curtains seem a bit out of place with the rest of the colors in the room.

Thank you guys.. I love the curtains!! Actually my favorite part.. I wanted to throw the room off a bit and not be so matchy...The room gets LOTS of nature sun light so it's never dark in there...

very nice! I love how rich it looks with the earth tones.

Find a rug with that blue in it to tie it to the rest of the room. Blue and brown look great together.

I would agree with hayleydaniels about using an area rug to tie the colors of the room together. Add a coffee table if you need one, or possibly a small end table so people have a place to set their drinks etc. You have done an amazing job with this space!

With your blue curtains (I would pull them back so they frame window vs hiding it), you may want to add a blue area rug to pull the room together and add a coffee table for practical purposes but also to complete the area.

Yes!!! Haleydaniels... I have a chocolate wall that divides the kitchen, dining room and hall. I think the space looks good. We have a lot of wall space so we decided to be a little riskay! Lol Now I need to break up the brown with a area rug or accent chair I think...

I would do an area rug, coffee table, and a small end table.

Thanks Maureen!!! I absolutely LOVE these rug selections... Not sure if you can tell that the throw pillows are tan and blue.. A slightly different shade of blue though.

I guess I'm going shopping for a coffee table and a rug to tie the blue curtains in a little more.. Thanks everyone!

Lisa, the art on your wall is also great and great inspiration for your rug. Good luck! :)

Hi---multi-colored rug to pull all the colors together, and a wood table (maybe round/oval) with a glass top. I like the gold chair. Good Luck!

yes for the rug but those panels on the window don't look good at all , the colour is one next perhaps its the way that they are hung or the wrong rod ,I'm sure that you can do much better :)

crown moulding changes the entire space, you may want to install that.
Absolutely! Slimsnoop80 we haven't even been here a year. We have nothing but time! A new roof, boiler and flooring chumps crown moulding lol but new moulding, windows and doors will be happening down the line ; )

I would,'t be fun if things would be done all at once :) all in good time right ?
We will work with things that we can fit into a budget and work with ideas gathered together .

Okay going back to the window covering ,they are rod pockets ....so I was thinking on adding another set of panels for the sides , I think that you have 6 panels so lets put 3 on the left and 3 on the right ,the middle can be free, if you need privacy get a blind for night time a white one preferably
This set would compliment your sofa floor and current window covering .

I agree! Curtain need more securing... We really do need more privacy at night so blinds sound like a good idea ; )

The room looks great. I agree you need a fairly large area rug and coffee table. Also you have a nice big window. Have you considered painting the trim?
