We have an open floor plan in our family room/kitchen. There are two narrow windows on either side of the fireplace with plantation shutters. There is a large window overlooking the backyard with no window covering, french doors to the back yard with no window covering and a window over the sink in the kitchen (also no covering). We would like to add something to the large window to deal with winter time glare during dinner but otherwise, like to leave the view open. Any suggestions? We do not want to add anything to the door or kitchen sink window. Can I add drapes, a solar shade, a roman shade? Do I have to add something to the shuttered windows to tie them in or can I just add something to the large window?
