Our cedar shakes are reaching the end of their lifespan and we are beginning to consider our options, including mere replacement, switching to siding, and other options. We love the look of classic Georgian colonials, but given the home's asymmetry, I'm not sure that can be recreated here. We would appreciate any insight (and images) on how to perform a (reasonably priced) transformation while maintaining a classic look.
