Need help in adding color to my living room

Wall color: Beige
Color i wish to add: Sage/greenish blue/aqua green
Fireplace color: Dark brown stone
Carpeted floor
I want to add color, first by adding colorful curtains.. may be greenish..?
Second, may be a colorful rug?
Any more ideas are welcome too.
(FYI: I am planning to upgrade couches as well)

Hi---the walls are doing nothing for this space. I like the colors you suggested and think you should check SW's colors: Drizzle and Raindrop. Find a pillow and/or rug that has your color palette---muted yellow and brick red and aqua. Hope this is helpful. Good Luck!

More pictures would be helpful. Do you like the picture on the wall? If that's staying then use it as your color inspiration. Couch looks a little lost on that wall....

I think a blue denim color wall might be nice. I think you need lighter weight curtains and have them higher up on the wall and longer. I think you can add some other art on wall behind sofa.
The painting is nice but I think it should be placed above the sofa. Can you make a grouping if paintings or objects if art above the sofa. What about some lamps with up lighting? How about some fluffy pillows!
