I've used the same idea. To create a headboard effect. Not that expensive.

I love love love this wall. Neutral but definitely NOT boring. I know that there are poly-something or other ones that are very light weight and you have now made me think I could probably use them on a wall in my rented apartment without marring the wall. Using one of the Command products would probably work just fine to attach them and I could paint my own quite easily. What a fabulous idea!!!!

have seen this before and I LOVE it..........very distinctive and completely easy to do. Will be doing a smaller version for a large wall in my bedroom with colors that will go with it. WOW.....a truly great inspiration.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. The walls look stunning! It saves time, its efficient, simple, yet it works. The colors are leaning towards the neutral ones, but it looks great nonetheless.
