Need help with kitchen laundry area--

I just removed bifold doors from my kitchen laundry area. Any suggestions on the type of door(s) to replace them.

Why did you remove them?

We have a similar laundry area, but our house was built in 1969 when my husband thinks appliances were smaller so the former owners took the doors off when they got newer appliances. We were left with an area like that in the hallway so we finally put a curtain over the opening. It's worked out very well. Probably looks a little strange, but it's either that or no doors....

I had bifold doors, but I recently had my kitchen remodeled, and removed them I looked for replacement bifold doors at several big box stores, but I did not like any of them. They seem too flimsy. My space is 61" W and 34"D. Don't like the idea of curtains in 13 by 9 galley kitchen.

i would say, leave it open, paint the walls, get wooden shelves, and baskets to house the goods and be done. if you you do curtains make sure you can hang them so they can get out of the way.

We converted our bifold doors. Added braces to the backs, a magnet closure at the top. And we are adding trim to make them look more like regular doors. Not quite done with them yet. An additional benefit is all the storage we now have on the back of the doors.

Any suggestion on where to purchase bifold doors other than at big box stores. I live in Florida

A specialty door store will have bifold doors.

You can get solid Byfold doors especial order in Home Depot. I just bought this one: Masonite Saddlebrook Smooth 1-Panel Plank solid. It's very nice . You can also install sliding doors, they hang from a track. Eli
