How much time does adding something like this add to build time?

I would love to have something like this in my home. I would imagine that it's not something that you have in your everyday housing plans. How common is this for the homes you build? http://www.suburbanconstruction.com

We have a fair few plans with safe rooms designed into them but it is generally up to the client. If you choose to have a safe room and it is designed into your home plan it shouldn't add to the build time. It would simply be built with the rest of the home and closed off by a moving shelf or wall. I hope this helped answer your question.
