Looks like a black marble? Depends on the style of the rest of your space. But i personally love black marble accents in a bathroom, as it lends itself so well to a timeless neoclassical style :)

It looks like empador or empador dark right? Natural stone, in our opinion, can hardly ever be dated! It's like a neutral natural beauty you build the rest of your design around!

It's a dark brown tile with similar border. The floor tile in bathroom is a beige shell color with a couple of brown tiles within. Vanity is cherry wood. Here is a picture of the floor. I was worried cause a friend said the trim reminded her of chair rails and she thought chair rails were dated. My plan is to have this trim embedded within the shower wall and also as a backsplash for the sink. I'm considering extending it throughout the whole bathroom but somewhat afraid it would make the bathroom look boxy or smaller. It's not a big bathroom.
