Is your front door to the left of the photo? Looks like metal trim around stained glass in your doors - is that true? Where would the pendant go / how far can it hang (Length & Width needs). Going online to confirm needed dimensions first will help narrow your focus. then you can consider the metal or details in the front door as you dont want to have a huge conflict etc. based on the exterior stone color - I'd think you could go with metal in a dark bronze or iron (black/grey) material - or completely different and do a stainless steel or pewter material...I think the front door is a big issue (a picture with a front view of the porch would be helpful. Your house looks like a hacienda/spanish style with the arches, roof and stone...so the metal, scrolly look would be nice - as well as an italian villa look; however, if you want something different you may need to go to the extreme (if it matches your interior taste) and do something modern (Frank Lloyd Wright looking...modern/rustic-nature)

That was wood as the house was boarded up. We bought it from the IRS, it was a DEA raid. All the wood trim is gone now. It goes up under and behind the 2 openings

Not sure about which form of Tuscan style you mean -- the right one above is close to Tuscan, although a bit more masculine and mediaeval. So I'm thinking you mean the scrolly look Dreamhome mentions? A chandelier? The trouble is that most of those designs are for interior lights -- I'm wondering what regulations in your area would govern what's allowed on a porch. Where I live, we're very limited in that respect.

In place of one hanging single light you might consider lights on each pillar of yr house as seen in the ref pic

PS you might want to clean up the landscaping a bit with regards to the trees.

Do you have any local lighting showrooms? Electrical supply companies sometimes offer lighting. It is special order but the selections are so much better than the big box stores and some of the online stores. I ordered my kitchen lighting through an electrical company called Rexel. Don't know if you have one in your area. Another option is see if you can find something unique at a salvage yard.

Wow, that house looks like what we plan on doing. Lol, we haven't even finished unpacking, I'll get there, you should see the one I sold in Cali for 900k, paid cash for this one, lots of work to do

Kathy, when we took down our light that is exactly like the one you posted as your current light, I took all the electrical parts off and used it outside on my deck with a large candle inside on the table. I just recently took it apart and spray painted it copper.

Suggest Maxim and there's a company in California - name escapes me but they sell outdoor lantern lighting! Will see if I can find the name!
