I'm creating the color scheme from a wall that I came across in Pompeii - the first picture is the wall, it was in a person's home, and every other part of the structure was blown away by the volcano except this wall. The colors were perfectly preserved, as it was out if the sunlight and elements. I've used this color scheme before in a past home kitchen, and it's beautiful

Usually, I spend the money and get Donald Kaufman paints for these sorts of projects, but this time I decided to give Benjamin Moore's new Aura collection a shot... It's the same idea: the pigments are mixed withe a white base, rather than a black base. There are few shades to pick from this way, but the ones you do choose have interesting properties... They tonally change in different light conditions: the colors subtly shift when they get exposed to sunlight vs nighttime lighting.
