Are there any rules for occasional chairs flanking a fireplace? Same height different pattern? Different fabric same style chair? Leggy vrs covered legs? Also how far from a working fire can furniture be placed? I saw a picture of an upholstered bench in front of a fireplace, looked great but we need the heat of a fire. Thank you for your thoughts.
