We have a very small terrace house which we are doing some major renovations on - 4 metres wide x approx 12 metres long in total - plans as below. Would love suggestions as to layout to fit lounge / living, kitchen and diner. Notes:

- We think we would prefer to have the kitchen at the back of the house near the backyard, although open to thoughts!

- One of our biggest dilemmas is whether to keep a separate lounge , or whether to open the whole lot up into one much biggest area (therefore basically whether to have 2 small lounge areas or one bigger areas). We are about to start a family, so would appreciate thoughts as to what is best for young families?

- Being a terrace, we need to keep the middle section of the house open to the backyard to get the light in from the bi-folds.
