We have installed shower doors before but it is more functional as a bath tub only with a decorative shower curtain. It all depends on how the client wants to use the bathroom. To install a shower door we put a fixed panel on the side with the toilet and put a hinged glass door on the left side. It works great!

I want to have a tub/shower combo similar to yours, with a granite tub deck. I don't want the traditional cheaper looking/smaller cast iron tub and tile surround. However, I have been told that a drop in can't be installed because it will leak, and have also read even an undermount will leak. I just want this bathroom to be a little nicer. Any suggestions? Does the tub in the picture have a flanged outside lip?
