Playroom ideas??

Designers and hobbyists!

I have a large playroom with good light and super tall ceilings. I want a theme/design that can shift as my toddler gets older and his interests change.

Interested in:
Possible built-ins for toy storage and display

Bean bags, ottomans, poufs

Oversized (10 by 14) rug

Wall decals, posters

I love jungle themes, blue/green/neutrals
Don't want a playroom that looks like a rainbow - looking for some consistency in the decor

Would love ideas, product recommendations!

I used an LCD projector to project a favorite image from a book in toy son's bedroom wall. Then I painted over it. I was nervous when I turned off the projector but was thrilled to see that it had worked beUtifully!! That wall to the leafy looks perfect for such a project. We also hung fake vines from the ceiling and used "zebra" rugs. Have fun!!

This is a favorite neutral playroom of mine. I think it would lend itself to a subtle jungle theme with some animal print or large Melissa and Doug jungle animals. I particularly like the giraffe.

You could use Flor carpet tiles to create a rug that you can even change if you like a different look. And you can go as colourful and large or small as you like. Or just choose one colour in different textures.

I would hang a more appropriate chandelier, a less serious looking one. If you're near an Ikea, they have great storage options.

I know you were mainly talking about a theme but I think this is a great idea for any playroom no matter what age.

You frame the game board and bag up the extra pieces and attach them to the back. then hang them up they serve the purpose of playful art and are functional to play on when they want.

If you think about it saves space of where ever you decide to stack games and it saves money for art.
