What colors complement SW Antiquarian Brown?

We just had a small room painted, which will be used as a study/den, Sherwin Williams Antiquarian Brown. I know it might be too dark a color for a small room but I can't change that now. There will be a very light neutral area rug and some pine furniture in there eventually. Are reds the best colors to complement it? Thank you!

PRO11 years agolast modified: 11 years agoSW says biscuit and red barn are coordinates. But, I think that the red should only be used as an accent.
If your rug is the color of biscuit you are certainly heading in the right direction.

PRO11 years agoIt sounds like you feel the color is too dark for your small room, so to counter that, I would suggest light neutrals, such as whites, creams and light grays. Light gray is great with this color.
